Actress Swara Bhasker and her husband Fahad Ahmad shared that Fahad's father, a prominent figure in the Nationalist
Youth Congress, is critically ill in the ICU following a brain hemorrhage. The couple has requested prayers and well
wishes for his recovery, highlighting his lifelong dedication to social work and helping others. Friends and colleagues
have offered their support.
Last week, Swara Bhasker shared that her father-in-law, who is also the National President of the Nationalist Youth
Congress, Fahad Ahmad’s father, had suffered a brain haemorrhage and was admitted to the hospital. On Friday, Swara and
Fahad issued a joint announcement on Instagram, revealing that he is currently in the ICU and requesting well-wishers to
pray for his recovery. Alongside a photograph of his father, Fahad wrote, “My father has fought many battles in his life
— and he has won every one of them with unmatched grace, courage, and faith. No matter how difficult the circumstances
were, he never compromised on giving his children the best education, the best opportunities, and a life filled with

Reflecting further, he continued, “Throughout social work career, he has helped thousands of patients , standing by them
in their most critical moments and guiding them toward recovery. Today, the same man who brought healing to so many is
being taken on ICU wheels for his own treatment, fighting one of the toughest battles of his life.” The message ended
with a heartfelt appeal: “In this moment, we humbly request you all to keep him in your prayers. Your duas, blessings,
and good wishes mean a lot to us. May the Almighty grant him strength, complete recovery, and good health.” Many
colleagues and friends responded to the post. Hina Khan wrote, “Praying my friend. Strength Duas and speedy recovery,”
while Avika Gor simply commented, “Praying.” Swara and Fahad, who first met during a protest in 2019, were close friends
for nearly three years before marrying on 16 February 2023 in a court ceremony under the Special Marriage Act. They
welcomed their daughter, Rabiya, in September the same year. After her birth, Swara had shared a touching picture of her
father-in-law holding the newborn, captioning it, “Tata + Dada (heart emoji).”
