Sonakshi blocked out negativity on her wedding day
Calling out unsolicited opinions from strangers, she added, “It’s a grown-ass woman making a life choice, which people
who I don’t even know — everybody had a say in it for some reason, which I didn’t understand. And it just felt all
really stupid at that point of time.” For Sonakshi, the wedding was about the two of them finally stepping into a
long-awaited chapter. “Honestly, it was all about us in that moment. And this was something that we were waiting for,
for a very long time. And it was finally coming true. It was happening. And we were just really, really thrilled and
really ecstatic to be able to finally spend our lives with each other. And it was beautiful for us.” The actor also
shared how overwhelming it was to deal with negativity on a day meant for joy. “It is very difficult because especially
at that point in time where you want nothing but positivity coming your way. We live in a social media world. I had to
put off my comments because I didn’t even want to read a single negative thing on my big day about me or my partner or
my family or anybody involved. And so I just put it off. You have to cut out the noise. ”
