Another wave of speculation swept social media on Tuesday after fresh reports insisted that Smriti Mandhana and Palaash
Muchhal had locked in December 7 as their new wedding date. The claim spread quickly, prompting Smriti’s brother Shravan

How the original wedding fell apart
The couple’s November 23 wedding in Sangli had unravelled dramatically, with the celebrations coming to a sudden halt
after Smriti’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana, suffered a severe medical emergency. He was rushed to the hospital on the
morning of the ceremony, forcing the families to stop the proceedings. In a parallel development, Palaash was also
admitted to a medical facility after experiencing extreme stress following the turn of events. His mother later stated
that he had been placed on IV support and undergone a series of tests before being discharged.
Speculation spirals with cheating allegations
The lack of immediate communication from both families opened the door to an avalanche of online speculation. Cheating
allegations surfaced after alleged screenshots of private conversations began circulating, with social media users

removed tags connected to Palaash. Many fans interpreted these actions as a sign that things were not smooth between the
Choreographers dragged into rumours push back
As the rumours escalated, two choreographers — Nandika Dwivedi and Gulnaaz Khan — unexpectedly found themselves targeted
in the frenzy. Both professionals issued strong public denials, calling the accusations fabricated, damaging, and
completely baseless, and appealed to people to stop spreading falsehoods about personal matters.
Families ask fans to stop assumptions
While the noise online continued, the families attempted to restore calm. In an emotional clarification, Palaash’s
mother Amita Muchhal said the swirl of allegations was deeply unfair and emphasised that the postponement stemmed from
concern and respect for Smriti’s father’s condition. She added that Palaash had himself suggested postponing the
ceremony even before the Mandhana family formally made the decision. She also assured that the wedding will happen soon.
No direct response from the couple
Neither Smriti nor Palaash has addressed the cheating chatter publicly. The only coordinated gesture so far has been a
shared addition to their Instagram bios — an evil-eye emoji — which many online followers interpreted as a quiet
response to the negative commentary surrounding them.
