Samsung Electronics will open this year’s CES week with The First Look, an event scheduled for January 4 at 7pm PST
(8.30 am IST on January 5). The showcase will be held at the Wynn Las Vegas, two days before the official start of CES
CES or Consumer Electronics Show is among the most important electronics shows of the year. CES showcases companies
including manufacturers, developers and suppliers of consumer technology hardware, content, technology delivery systems
and more. It also includes a conference programme where the world's business leaders and pioneering thinkers address the
industry's most relevant issues.
The company is expected to use the event to lay out its 2026 direction for the Device eXperience (DX) Division, with a
particular focus on how AI will shape its product lineup and customer experience in the coming year.
TM Roh, CEO and head of the DX division, will deliver the keynote. He will be joined by SW Yong, president and head of
the visual display (VD) business, and Cheolgi Kim, executive vice president and head of digital appliances (DA)
business. The three executives are set to outline how their respective businesses plan to evolve as AI becomes more
central to product development and services.
For Samsung, 2025 has turned out to be a successful year with a number of launches across its consumer technology
divisions. Besides the Galaxy S25 series, the company Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 have been hugely successful.
This month, Samsung showcased its triple-display foldable, the Galaxy Z TriFold in South Korea. It will be available for
purchase in Korea on December 12, followed by other markets including China, Taiwan, Singapore, the UAE and the US.
For those not attending CES, the event will stream live on Samsung’s official Newsroom site, YouTube channel, and on
Samsung TV Plus, the company’s free ad-supported streaming service. Samsung will also host additional demonstrations at
its dedicated exhibition space at the Wynn through January 7.
