India cricket team will be aiming to replicate their performance with the bat from the 1st ODI in the IND vs SA 2nd ODI

in Raipur on Wednesday. KL Rahul and co. started off the series on a high-note, securing a 17-run victory in what was a

cracker of a contest in Ranchi. While the team does not need to worry a lot about their playing XI for the next game,

India surely can afford to make a change or two to their line-up in order to rotate players and give others

opportunities.

Predicted India playing XI for IND vs SA 2nd ODI

Yashasvi Jaiswal

Rohit Sharma

Virat Kohli

Ruturaj Gaikwad

Nitish Kumar Reddy

KL Rahul (C, WK)

Ravindra Jadeja

Harshit Rana

Arshdeep Singh

Kuldeep Yadav

Prasidh Krishna

On bench: Dhruv Jurel, Washington Sundar, Rishabh Pant, Tilak Varma

India cricket team can afford to leave Washington out of the playing XI for the IND vs SA 2nd ODI and bring Nitish in

his place instead. The Tamil Nadu all-rounder was used for just three overs with the ball in the game at Ranchi as

captain Rahul preferred Jadeja and Kuldeep more. Sundar wasn’t that effective with the bat as well, managing to score

just 13 runs off 19 deliveries while coming out to bat at number 5.

KL Rahul will be mighty pleased with the batting that the team displayed and wouldn’t want to tinker with the line-up.

Gaikwad, who returned to ODIs after a long gap in the 1st ODI, is likely to get yet another chance after he was

dismissed for just 5 runs in Ranchi.

With India unlikely to make changes to their top and middle-order, Rishabh Pant and Tilak Varma will continue to warm

the bench.Meanwhile, Reddy’s return to the playing XI will boost the pace department which comprises of Arshdeep,

Prasidh and Rana. Kuldeep and Jadeja will be the two spinners for India in the contest. Should India want to play an

extra spinner instead of a pacer, then Krishna can be rested and Sundar can be included in the XI. However, it is

unlikely to be the case.
