The OnePlus 15R is just around the corner with a launch scheduled for later this month. Ahead of the device’s release,
OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 15R will come with a 7,4000mAh battery. This is larger than the OnePlus 15’s

OnePlus confirms massive battery for OnePlus 15R
According to OnePlus, the 7,400mAh battery pack in the OnePlus 15R is the largest battery ever placed in one of their
devices, signalling a deliberate move to address demands for greater endurance on mobile. With this upgrade, the OnePlus
15R targets users who prioritise device longevity, particularly those using smartphones for gaming, video streaming, or
on-the-go productivity. OnePlus describes the device as "built to play and never, ever stop," demonstrating a clear
emphasis on extended usage.
Earlier reports had hinted that the OnePlus 15R may get an 8,300mAh battery, since the device was speculated to come
with similar specs to the OnePlus Ace 6T that is available in China.
The battery is also constructed using Silicon Nanostack technology, boasting 15% silicon content in the anode. This
design, according to OnePlus, provides higher energy density and is engineered to retain at least 80% of its original
capacity even after four years of use. The OnePlus 15R gets 80W fast charging support.
OnePlus 15R to get 165Hz AMOLED display
The OnePlus 15R will also feature a 165Hz 1.5K AMOLED display, similar to the OnePlus 15. This display supports up to
1,800 nits of brightness and can reduce to as low as 1 nit with specific settings, catering to varying lighting
conditions and reducing eye strain. The screen has received TV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care 5.0 certification, which
could appeal to users who spend extended periods on their devices.
OnePlus 15R, what else do we know
OnePlus also announced that the 15R’s camera is capable of recording video at 120 frames per second in 4K resolution, a
feature previously exclusive to the OnePlus 15. While OnePlus has not confirmed the sensors, the 15R is expected to pack
a dual rear camera setup.
Performance will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 mobile platform, a chipset that OnePlus claims was
"co-defined and co-optimised" with Qualcomm over a 24-month period. The OnePlus 15R is set to be the first smartphone
globally to launch with this processor.
OnePlus 15R launch and expected price
OnePlus has stated that both the OnePlus 15R and OnePlus Pad Go 2 will be revealed in full at a livestreamed launch
event in Bengaluru, India, on December 17, 2025.
Pricing for the OnePlus 15R remains unclear for now. However, it may be similar to the OnePlus 13R, which was launched
