Kobbie Mainoo's impressive performance as a substitute in Manchester United's recent 4-4 draw against Bournemouth has
not quelled speculation about his future with the club. Despite a strong showing at Old Trafford, where he replaced
Casemiro with 30 minutes remaining and the Red Devils trailing 3-2, a potential mid-season move is still being
Mainoo, who is 20 years old, received a positive reception from the fans upon his introduction by Ruben Amorim. His
presence on the field seemingly helped United regain control, contributing to two additional goals. His sharp passing
and energetic defensive work left a positive impression.
However, a lack of Premier League starts this season fuels rumors of a possible departure. It has been reported that
numerous clubs – at least 12 – are interested in acquiring Mainoo. The young England international reportedly favors a
move to a club on the continent.
Real Madrid's interest in Mainoo dates back to last summer, and they are said to be maintaining their pursuit of the
United academy graduate. Xabi Alonso is reportedly keen to strengthen his midfield options.
According to Defensa Central, Real Madrid has already inquired about Mainoo's availability in the upcoming winter
transfer window. Manchester United are reportedly willing to consider a permanent deal for Mainoo but have set a €90
million price tag. Real Madrid, however, are only prepared to offer up to €50 million.
Despite the significant difference in valuation, the good relationship between the two clubs could potentially lead to
further negotiations and a possible agreement.
