The film 'Dhurandhar' continues its successful run in theaters nationwide, having achieved considerable box-office
success and establishing itself as a major hit. Emerging as an ambitious action-oriented project, the Aditya
Dhar-directed film, featuring Ranveer Singh in the lead role alongside Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and
Arjun Rampal, has become a cultural phenomenon. Its broad appeal stems from its impressive scale, engaging visuals, and
a cast of prominent actors. Hirav Mehta, a television actor who played a BUF Rebel in 'Dhurandhar,' shared his early
recognition of the film's blockbuster potential, his experience working with such famous actors, and his participation
in Akshaye Khanna's popular song, 'Fa9la,' in a conversation with NDTV.
According to Hirav Mehta, the realization that 'Dhurandhar' would be a significant success came almost immediately
during filming. He noted, "From the first day on set, seeing Aditya Dhar's excellent direction, the impressive set
design, and interacting with actors like Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, and Sanjay Dutt, I knew it would be a
blockbuster. The script was fantastic, the set was incredible, and the overall quality of the cinematography, direction,
and acting was exceptional. I sensed it right away."
This confidence, for Hirav, wasn't a post-release reaction; it was based on the detailed planning, large scale, and
professionalism he observed during the production. Describing his time working alongside seasoned actors, Hirav likened
it to an invaluable learning experience, adding, "Observing Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and
Arjun Rampal while filming scenes with them felt like an acting masterclass. I learned a great deal, an experience I
Moreover, Hirav was part of Akshaye Khanna's widely discussed song 'Fa9la,' which quickly became popular, particularly
highlighting Akshaye's understated yet memorable hook step. Hirav mentioned that the excitement surrounding this
sequence was evident even during its filming. He described his interaction with Akshaye Khanna as brief but noteworthy:
"Akshaye Khanna was already on set when I arrived. He was very focused on his character, but I approached him,
introduced myself, and expressed my pleasure in working with him. He responded warmly. It was a short exchange, and then
we concentrated on filming."
When discussing the now-famous hook step, Hirav revealed its spontaneous nature. "The hook step was completely
improvised, to be honest. Akshaye sir maintains a calm demeanor, so even if a scene went exceptionally well, his
excitement wouldn't be obvious. However, I'm sure he knew he had nailed it."
Furthermore, Hirav spoke highly of Ranveer Singh, emphasizing his on-screen talent and his supportive nature as a
colleague. "Ranveer Singh brings an aura to the set. His energy is infectious and inspires those around him. While he is
fun and energetic off-camera, he becomes completely absorbed in his character when it's time to act, making it a
learning experience to watch."
He also recounted a personal experience with Ranveer that deeply affected him. "Being my first time on a film set, I
felt quite nervous. Ranveer Singh remembered my name and encouraged me from the background during shooting. This gave me
a great deal of confidence and created a memory I will always cherish."
