Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 has officially received its first major hotfix update, introducing gameplay adjustments, new

content, and quality-of-life improvements across multiple modes. The update rolled out without server downtime, though

players will need to download a patch of approximately 2.5 GB before joining matches. With new mechanics like Storm

Surfing, a redesigned Battle Royale map, and the return of boss transformation abilities, Chapter 7 has already been

packed with changes. The latest hotfix expands on those updates, refining gameplay balance and refreshing the loot pool

across modes. Here are the complete highlights from the latest Fortnite update.

Blitz mode has now been fully activated, offering players a fast-paced Battle Royale experience. The loot pool has been

heavily modified to align with Chapter 7’s new weapon roster. Items such as the Iron Pump Shotgun, Arc Lightning Gun,

Twin Hammer Shotguns, Grenades, and the Grenade Launcher are now available. Players can also access new mobility and

survival mechanics including:

Wingsuits

Self-Revive device

In addition, the newly introduced Stormfall island features three new POIs:

Holloway House

Ritzy Redux

Boutique Bay

New Kickstart Quests tied to the Battle Pass are now available, offering rewards including a Cat Holloway style.

Reload mode changes

The Reload mode has also received significant improvements. A new Reload map is now available featuring the following

POIs:

Divey Dam

Players can explore these locations using the newly added Wingsuit mobility item. Additional gameplay improvements

include:

New Simple Build setting for easier building

Players completing Mastery rewards can unlock items including a free wrap, exclusive emote, and a Battle Pass-only

Carter Wu style. Upcoming updates are expected to introduce a Storm Surf mechanic in Reload mode along with a new weapon

system called Morphite Weapons. As per early details, these weapons will evolve mid-match based on player XP.

Battle Royale fixes

The Battle Bus is now back online after being temporarily disabled at launch. Boss mechanics have also been rebalanced

based on early player feedback. The following changes have been applied:

AI Boss skill levels increased by 50% (1200 > 1800)

Henchmen skill levels increased to 50% (800 > 1200)
