Mumbai, December 1 - In a major development, top South Indian producer Dil Raju has reportedly confirmed that he is
collaborating with Bollywood superstars Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar on two big projects under his banner, Sri
Venkateswara Creations. The announcement has set the industry buzzing, as both films bring together massive star power
and strong South–Bollywood creative partnerships.
According to reports, Dil Raju has locked a film with Salman Khan, which will be directed by noted filmmaker Vamsi
Paidipally. This marks a fresh North–South collaboration, with Vamsi finally making his Bollywood debut after earlier
attempts. The project is said to be a large-scale family action entertainer, and while plot details remain confidential,
the team is expected to begin pre-production very soon.
Parallelly, Dil Raju is also backing a film featuring Akshay Kumar, which is reportedly the official Hindi adaptation of
the recently successful Telugu crime entertainer Sankranthiki Vasthunnam. Akshay will be reprising the role originally
played by Venkatesh Daggubati in the Telugu version. The remake will retain key emotional and thriller elements from the
original while being adapted to suit the sensibilities of Hindi audiences.
The film is expected to go on floors in early 2026 once Akshay wraps up his prior commitments. It will be directed by
Anees Bazmee, who will be reuniting with Akshay after more than a decade. Industry insiders believe these two films mark
Dil Raju’s renewed focus on Bollywood after a mixed run with previous Hindi ventures.
By pairing two of India's biggest stars with strong South Indian creative teams, the producer aims to build large-scale
crowd-pullers that appeal across regions. With both projects now officially in motion, further announcements on cast,
genre, and release timelines are expected in the coming months.
