Following Hrithik Roshan's expression of conflicting feelings about the film 'Dhurandhar,' one of its actors, Danish
Pandor, has offered his perspective. Roshan, while praising the film's storytelling and performances, particularly that
of Ranveer Singh, mentioned that he disagreed with its political stance.
Pandor addressed Roshan's comment by stating, “This is very subjective. Preferences vary from person to person.” He
further emphasized the research-backed nature of the film's elements, especially those concerning the 26/11 attacks.
“Even if you consider the 26/11 attack, its occurrence is undeniable,” Pandor asserted. He highlighted the impact of the
voice notes of the handlers and terrorists used in the movie, saying they evoke strong emotions and a sense of dismay.
Pandor also elaborated on the emotional impact of the 26/11 scene. He noted that the voice recordings put the audience
in the shoes of the hostages, allowing them to empathize with their plight in a way that media coverage at the time
perhaps couldn't fully convey. He underscored the importance of empathy, particularly when confronted with such events.
He also shared an anecdote about observing Ranveer Singh's emotional state after filming the intense scene, indicating
the toll it took on the actor.
Prior to Pandor's response, Hrithik Roshan had lauded 'Dhurandhar' for its cinematic qualities, praising the
storytelling and the commitment of those involved. However, Roshan also stated, “I may disagree with the politics of it,
and argue about the responsibilities us filmmakers should bear as citizens of the world. Nevertheless, can't ignore how
loved and learnt from this one as a student of cinema. Amazing.”
On December 6th, Pandor conveyed a heartfelt message to Ranveer Singh, acknowledging the actor's inspiring energy,
dedication, and generosity as a co-star. He fondly recalled their first meeting and the positive impact Singh had on his
performance. He commended Singh's meticulous preparation and commitment to each scene, expressing gratitude for the
opportunity to share the journey with him.
'Dhurandhar,' featuring Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, and others, premiered in theaters on December 5th.
