Aditya Dhar's 'Dhurandhar,' a spy action thriller starring Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna, finished its second week in
theaters with its lowest single-day earnings since its December 5 release. This dip in revenue occurred alongside the
debut of 'Avatar: Fire and Ash'.
According to early estimates, 'Dhurandhar' grossed approximately Rs 23 crore net in India on its 14th day across all
languages. Despite this decline, the film still managed to close out its second week with impressive numbers.
'Dhurandhar' amassed an estimated Rs 253.5 crore net during its second week, achieving the highest second-week
collection ever for a Hindi film. It's also the first Hindi film to surpass Rs 200 crore net in its second week,
exceeding the previous record held by 'Pushpa 2 - The Rule'. The Ranveer Singh-led film even outperformed its own
opening week, which saw Rs 207.25 crore net in collections.
On Thursday, December 18, 2025, 'Dhurandhar' recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 32.35 percent. Morning shows started
with 18.28 percent occupancy, gradually increasing throughout the day, with evening shows reaching 38.08 percent and
night shows peaking at 40.97 percent.
After two weeks, 'Dhurandhar' has earned an estimated Rs 460.25 crore net in India. Gross collections have exceeded Rs
550 crore, with India's gross estimated at Rs 552 crore. The movie crossed the Rs 500 crore India gross mark on its
second Wednesday, accomplishing this milestone in just 13 days, making it one of the fastest films to reach this mark.
'Dhurandhar' is now the third Indian film and the second Bollywood film of 2025 to surpass Rs 500 crore gross in India.
Overall, it is the 16th Indian film to join the Rs 500 crore gross club. 'Baahubali: The Beginning' (2015) was the first
Indian film to achieve this milestone. Since then, eight Bollywood films, four Telugu films, two Kannada films, and one
Tamil film have crossed the Rs 500 crore India gross mark.
Regarding net collections, only 12 films have crossed Rs 500 crore so far, and 'Dhurandhar' is expected to become the
13th soon. The film still has the opportunity to rank among the fastest films to reach the Rs 500 crore net mark,
alongside movies like 'Animal', 'Pathaan', 'Jawan', and 'Chhaava'.
Globally, 'Dhurandhar' has also performed well, earning an estimated Rs 150 crore from international markets, bringing
its worldwide total to approximately Rs 702 crore by the end of its second week. Despite new competition and a strong
second week, analysts believe 'Dhurandhar' is on track to reach Rs 1,000 crore at the global box office in the coming
After maintaining an average daily collection above Rs 25 crore, 'Dhurandhar' experienced its first significant dip.
With the release of 'Avatar: Fire and Ash', it remains to be seen how well the film will continue to perform. The
Hollywood film is projected to have a Rs 30 crore opening collection, primarily from English-speaking markets. As a
Hindi release, 'Dhurandhar' may hold its own and potentially earn another Rs 100 crore over the weekend.
