Ranveer Singh's latest action-packed film, 'Dhurandhar', directed by Aditya Dhar, has stormed the box office, achieving

a monumental milestone by crossing the ₹550 crore mark in just 17 days. The film's impressive performance eclipses the

numbers of the highly anticipated Hollywood release, 'Avatar: Fire and Ash', solidifying its position as a major

cinematic success. 'Dhurandhar' now stands as the second-highest-grossing Hindi film of the year so far, and is quickly

closing in on taking the top spot.

The film's third weekend was particularly strong, commencing with a record-breaking Friday collection of ₹22.50 crores

net, a staggering 70% higher than the previous third-Friday record holder, 'Chhaava'. Saturday witnessed an even greater

surge, with collections jumping by an estimated 50% to ₹34.25 crores net, marking the highest third-Saturday collection

ever achieved by a Hindi film. Sunday continued the upward trend, with early estimates suggesting a collection of ₹38.25

crore net across 5,481 shows. By the end of its third weekend, 'Dhurandhar' had amassed nearly ₹95 crores net.

'Dhurandhar's' success extends beyond domestic borders, with an overseas collection of ₹170 crore. North America alone

contributed an estimated ₹76 crore to this impressive international total. The film's global appeal is a testament to

its engaging storyline, stellar performances, and high-octane action sequences.

Compared to 'Avatar: Fire and Ash', 'Dhurandhar' has demonstrated significant dominance. During their third weekend,

'Dhurandhar' earned approximately ₹93 crores net, while 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' managed an estimated ₹66.65 crores net,

despite its wide multi-language release in India. This represents nearly a 50% drop compared to the opening weekend

performance of 'Avatar: The Way of Water'.

With the Christmas holiday approaching, 'Dhurandhar' is expected to receive a further boost in its collections,

potentially propelling it into the elite ₹1,000 crore club. If it reaches this milestone, Ranveer Singh would become

only the third actor, after Shah Rukh Khan and Prabhas, to enter the prestigious league of actors with films grossing

over ₹1,000 crore. Furthermore, the film's sequel, 'Dhurandhar 2', is already scheduled for a March 2026 release,

creating anticipation for the continued success of the 'Dhurandhar' franchise.

The remarkable performance of 'Dhurandhar' at the box office highlights the enduring appeal of well-made Hindi cinema

and the star power of Ranveer Singh. As the film continues its theatrical run, it is poised to break even more records

and solidify its place as one of the most successful Hindi films of all time. The film's success demonstrates how a

compelling narrative, strong performances, and skillful direction can resonate with audiences both domestically and

internationally, leading to significant box office returns.
