Rakesh Bedi, known for his role in Dhurandhar, has responded to criticism regarding a recent interaction with Sara

Arjun, his co-star, at an event. He clarified that their relationship is like that of a father and daughter, dismissing

any misinterpretations.

Bedi expressed his dismay that their affectionate bond was taken out of context. He emphasized that Sara, who is less

than half his age and plays his daughter in the show, always greets him with a hug, similar to how a daughter would

greet her father. He stated, "We share a nice rapport and camaraderie, which is also reflected on screen."

He recounted that their interaction at the Dhurandhar teaser launch was no different from their usual affectionate

greetings. Bedi believes that some people are misinterpreting the affection between an older man and a young girl.

"Dekhne wale ki aankh mein gadbad hai to kya kar sakte ho (What can you do when people perceive it wrongly)?" he

questioned.

Bedi also highlighted that Sara's parents, Raj Arjun and Sanya, were present at the event. He questioned the logic of

acting inappropriately in public, especially with her parents present. "Why would I kiss her with ill intent publicly on

a stage? I mean, her parents were there," he stated, adding that people are creating unnecessary issues on social media.
