Actor Vikrant Massey reflects on becoming a father to son Vardaan. He praises his wife Sheetal Thakur's strength during

childbirth. Massey also discusses his marriage, noting it is a continuous effort. He humorously shares how his wife

sometimes gets upset over his actions in her dreams. Massey recently won a National Film Award for his role in '12th

Fail'.

Vikrant Massey, who became a father in 2024 when he and his wife Sheetal Thakur welcomed their son Vardaan, recently

opened up about how life has changed since then. Reflecting on his journey into parenthood, he admitted that no matter

how involved a father tries to be, the mother’s role is incomparable, especially after watching Sheetal endure 30 hours

of labour. He also spoke lovingly (and humorously) about his relationship with her, even sharing how she sometimes wakes

up annoyed with him because of something he did in her dreams. Vikrant has confessed earlier that Sheetal was by his

side even when he was struggling in Mumbai and doing giving auditions to be an actor. They were dating for many years

and tied the knot in 2022. In a candid chat with Ranveer Allahbadia, Vikrant said, “Marriage is a constant work in

progress, pouring energy in all possible ways.” He confessed that while he was a bit unsure about long-term commitment

in his younger days, he had always imagined having a family. Meeting Sheetal simply made the decision easier, he said,

adding that he was never “commitment-phobic” once he found the right partner. And watching her navigate pregnancy, he

said, only deepened his admiration.

Talking about those months, he shared how emotional it was to see her change and grow through the process. “During the

nine months of pregnancy, to see Sheetal… and I have known Sheetal for more than 10 years. To see that little girl, to

see her belly grow day by day. She went through 30 hours of labour I think. I mean women endure a lot,” he recalled. He

added that nothing a man does “can even come close to it.” Vikrant also mentioned that it was Sheetal who chose the name

Vardaan for their son. When the conversation shifted to dreams, Vikrant admitted he doesn’t analyse them much. But

Sheetal? That’s a different story. He laughed as he recounted, “The other day, she actually had a dream that I was on a

hike with some pretty girl, and she was calling out my name, and I am not responding in her dream and I’m just walking

further and further away. She woke up and she fought with me over a dream.” On the work front, Vikrant had a memorable

year, winning the National Film Award for Best Actor for 12th Fail. In 2025, he was seen in 'Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan',

with Shanaya Kapoor.
