New research from the University of South Florida suggests that drinking coffee before shopping can lead to significantly increased spending. Shoppers who consumed caffeinated coffee bought more items, particularly non-essential ones, and spent approximately 50% more than those who had decaf or water. This effect was observed in both in-store and online shopping scenarios.
