Travelers across Asia faced significant disruptions today as a wave of flight cancellations and delays impacted major airlines and airports. A total of 224 flights were canceled and 2,550 were delayed, causing widespread travel chaos.
Several major airlines experienced significant disruptions. AirAsia Group reported over 310 delays, while Japan Airlines (JAL) had more than 248 delays and 38 cancellations. Singapore Airlines saw 147 delays, and Scoot reported 106 delays. All Nippon Airways (ANA) and ANA Wings experienced over 150 delays and 32 cancellations, and Air Do had 80 cancellations and over 40 delays. Emirates reported 125 delays, and flydubai had 112 delays.

- Kuala Lumpur International (KUL):** Experienced the most delays with 690, primarily driven by AirAsia (263 delays), Malaysia Airlines (170), and Malindo Air (99). These delays impacted connecting flights to Japan, the Middle East, and Oceania.
- Singapore Changi (SIN):** Recorded 458 delays, mainly due to Singapore Airlines (135 delays) and Scoot (106 delays). Regional carriers like AirAsia and Qantas also contributed, with delays affecting routes to Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, and Europe.
- Tokyo Haneda (HND):** Faced 433 delays and 84 cancellations, putting significant strain on operations. Japan Airlines (188 delays), ANA (122 delays), and Air Do (41 cancellations) were heavily affected.
- New Chitose (CTS):** Saw the highest number of cancellations, with 133, along with 144 delays. Air Do (39 cancellations) and ANA Wings (29 cancellations) were the main contributors, primarily affecting regional Japanese connections.
- Dubai International (DXB):** Reported 359 delays, largely due to Emirates (125 delays) and flydubai (112 delays). These delays affected flights to the UK and Europe, including London Heathrow and Manchester.
- Hong Kong International (HKG):** Registered 247 delays and 1 cancellation, with Cathay Pacific (90 delays), Hong Kong Express (24 delays), and Hong Kong Airlines (20 delays) being the most affected. Impacts were felt across East Asia, Europe, and North America.
- Narita International (NRT):** Logged 219 delays and 6 cancellations. Jetstar Japan (5 cancellations) and Japan Airlines (22 delays) were among the most affected, along with delays impacting US-bound flights.
