The horror-comedy film *Thamma*, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Prime Video announced the global OTT premiere date as December 16th.
*Thamma* is part of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU), which also features movies like *Stree*, *Munjya*, and *Bhediya*. Set in a mythical world, the film follows Alok (Ayushmann Khurrana), who represents humanity's last hope, and Tadaka (Rashmika Mandanna), a mystical being navigating a world shrouded in darkness. They face Yakshasan (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), a powerful dark ruler threatening to engulf the world in peril.
Despite receiving mixed to positive reviews initially, *Thamma* proved to be a box office success, grossing ₹187 crore worldwide, including a net of ₹135 crore in India.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films and Amar Kaushik, and directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, *Thamma* features a script penned by Niren Bhatt, Arun Fulara, and Suresh Mathew. The cast includes Paresh Rawal and Faisal Malik, alongside special appearances from Varun Dhawan, Abhishek Banerjee, Nora Fatehi, and Malaika Arora, in addition to Khurrana, Mandanna, and Siddiqui.
Ayushmann Khurrana commented on the film's streaming release, stating, "*Thamma* is a unique blend of supernatural and horror elements with humor, romance, drama, and a heartfelt love story.
