The Sierra, launched in India on November 25th, is priced between ₹11.49 lakh and ₹21.49 lakh (ex-showroom). An initial payment of ₹21,000 is required to make a booking. The SUV is available in multiple variants, offering both petrol and diesel engine options. It is positioned within Tata's product lineup above the Tata Curvv.
In related news, Tata Motors celebrated the Indian Women’s Cricket Team's victory at the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 by gifting them the first Tata Sierra units. The SUVs were presented at a ceremony in Mumbai, with senior executives from the Tata Group and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles in attendance.
The new Sierra boasts a design inspired by the original model, featuring a boxy silhouette with modern styling. The front incorporates gloss-black accents that connect the LED headlamps and daytime running lights to the Tata logo and Sierra badge. A bumper-mounted skid plate and fog lamps complete the front fascia.
Inside, the Sierra's premium cabin features a three-screen dashboard and a four-spoke steering wheel, similar to the Tata Curvv. Notable features include a JBL audio system, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and ventilated front seats. Soft-touch materials and practical, comfort-focused elements enhance the interior.
The Sierra offers a range of powertrain choices, including a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, a naturally aspirated petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. These engines are available with both manual and automatic transmissions. Higher-end variants come equipped with Level 2 ADAS, connected car technology, powered seats, and a powered tailgate.
As a C-SUV positioned above the Tata Curvv, the Sierra competes with models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Carens Clavis, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota Hyryder.
