A Tata dealer welcomed the new Sierra SUV with a traditional 'baaraat,' complete with music and procession. Bookings for the Sierra are now open.

A Tata Motors dealer has adopted a unique approach to celebrate the arrival of the new Sierra SUV: a 'baaraat'-style procession, complete with a band. Bookings for the vehicle are now open.

This festive welcome mirrors a traditional Indian wedding procession, with the Sierra accompanied by other Tata vehicles like the Curvv, Harrier, and Nexon. Videos circulating online show the Sierra participating in the celebratory event. Dealerships in Noida and East Delhi are among those hosting these unique welcomes.

Banners at the event proclaimed, “Welcoming the return of the legend Tata Sierra,” highlighting the significance of the SUV's comeback. The Sierra boasts a distinctive design, a comprehensive list of features, and the potential to become a top-selling vehicle.

The videos showcase the Sierra in Andaman Adventure and Munnar Mist color options. Tata offers other unique colors, including Bengal Rouge and Coorg Cloud, named after famous Indian locales.

The welcome procession featured Punjabi drum beats and dealership staff. While the enthusiasm for the Sierra is evident, these celebrations raise safety concerns. Such processions on public roads, with multiple vehicles and loud music, could disrupt traffic and pose risks to other road users. Public roads require adherence to traffic rules, and processions ideally need permits and crowd management. Balancing marketing creativity with public safety is crucial. Celebrating the Sierra within controlled environments, like dealerships, would be a more responsible approach.
