Akhil Vishwanath, the State Award-winning actor best known for his role in 'Chola,' has died at 30. Director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan mourns his loss.
Akhil Vishwanath, the 30-year-old actor who won a State Award for his work and was known for his performance in the film 'Chola,' has been found dead at his home.
Vishwanath, who began his acting career as a child, was discovered by his mother. News of his death has prompted an outpouring of grief from film industry figures, including 'Chola' director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan and actor Joju George.

According to Manorama Online, Vishwanath was found hanging at his residence. His mother, Geetha, found him while preparing to leave for work. While he was known for his role as the lead's lover in 'Chola', directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, he also appeared in films such as 'Operation Java.'
Before his death, Vishwanath was working as a mechanic at a mobile phone shop in Kottali, but reports indicate he had stopped going to work recently. His father, Vishwanathan, is currently recovering from serious injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Vishwanath's career in cinema began early. He won the State Government Award for Best Child Artist while still a student, for his performance in the telefilm 'Mangandi,' where he starred alongside his brother Arun. Both brothers received the award in the same year. His role in 'Chola' brought him wider recognition.
