The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 Trophy Tour kicked off dramatically over Adam's Bridge, linking India and Sri Lanka, with a paramotor flight.

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 Trophy Tour, sponsored by DP World, commenced with a visually stunning launch. A two-seater paramotor carrying the trophy soared above Adam’s Bridge, set against the backdrop of India’s southern coast.

Adam’s Bridge, also known as Ram Setu, holds cultural significance in India. Symbolically, it also represents a connection between the tournament's co-hosts, India and Sri Lanka.

The paramotor traced the chain of limestone shoals, flying as far as permitted over the bridge. The flight provided aerial views and captured the emotions surrounding the launch.

ICC Chairman Jay Shah commented on the importance of the Trophy Tour, stating, "Launching the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 Trophy Tour with DP World above the Ram Setu...sets an inspiring tone." He added, “This tour represents far more than the physical movement of a trophy. It is a unifying journey...igniting passion among fans worldwide..." Shah emphasized the tour will heighten anticipation and invite fans to celebrate the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

The tournament's tenth edition begins on February 7 and will feature 20 teams competing over 29 days at eight venues across India and Sri Lanka.

The Trophy Tour will visit several Asian countries, including India, Sri Lanka, Qatar, Oman, Nepal, Bahrain, and Mongolia. Fans will have opportunities to view the trophy and participate in activities leading up to the event.

The tour includes campus visits, fan gatherings, public events, and cricket-themed carnivals to promote the sport. In a unique initiative, the trophy will visit schools and colleges connected to players participating in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.

The trophy will also be showcased at major T20 leagues and bilateral series. Fans can follow the tour’s progress on the official social media platform, @icctrophytour.
