Sohail Khan apologizes for riding his bike without a helmet, explaining his claustrophobia while promising to follow traffic rules after a photo went viral.
Actor Sohail Khan has issued an apology for riding his motorcycle without a helmet. The apology came after a photo of him riding surfaced on Instagram.
Khan explained his reasons for not wearing a helmet, citing claustrophobia. In his statement, he also requested all bike riders to wear helmets. He acknowledged that his discomfort was "no excuse" for violating safety regulations.
"Riding has always been my passion," Khan stated, mentioning his early experiences with BMX cycles. He added that he usually rides late at night to minimize traffic risks, going at a slow pace, with his car following.
Khan pledged to adhere to all traffic laws going forward. He promised to make a sincere effort to overcome his claustrophobia and wear a helmet in the future. He also extended his apologies to traffic authorities, assuring them of his compliance with all regulations.
He also saluted riders who consistently wear helmets, even with any discomfort, emphasizing the necessity for safety. "It is better to be safe than sorry," he wrote, reiterating his apology.
Khan's most recent acting role was in the Telugu film *Arjun: Son of Vyjayanthi*, released in April 2025. The film, directed by Pradeep Chilukuri and produced by N. T. R. Arts and Ashoka Creations, features Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Vijayashanti in leading roles, along with Saiee Manjrekar, Babloo Prithiveeraj, Srikanth, and R. Sarathkumar. It is considered a spiritual sequel to the 1990 film *Karthavyam* and received mixed reviews upon its release.
