What all has happened since November 23?
After the wedding postponement, reports began to surface suggesting that Smriti Mandhana’s father’s illness wasn’t the only reason for the delay. Social media pages and online forums claimed that Palash Muchhal had been unfaithful, a rumour that gained further traction when the cricketer deleted all photos and videos from her engagement and wedding functions. Around the same time, Palash’s family had returned to Mumbai from Sangli, where the wedding was originally scheduled to take place.
Palash’s mother told the media that her son was deeply affected after learning about Smriti’s father’s condition. She said Palash had to be hospitalised due to stress and exhaustion, prompting the family to shift him to a hospital in Mumbai. As the cheating rumours gained momentum, wedding choreographers Nandika Dwivedi and Gulnaaz Khan were dragged into the controversy.
Both choreographers quickly defended themselves, releasing statements on Instagram clarifying that they had nothing to do with the postponement. As of now, neither family has spoken about setting a new wedding date, and the couple has remained silent on the matter.
