Siddharth Anand Mocks Naga Vamsi After Dhurandhar’s Success - Here’s What Happened

At the same time, some negativity is growing inside Bollywood circles, with sections of the industry drawing comparisons between Animal and Dhurandhar.
In the middle of this discussion, Telugu producer Naga Vamsi has unexpectedly become a target. What pushed his name into the spotlight is a social media moment involving director Siddharth Anand, known for War, Fighter and Pathaan.
An X user posted, “Where is this guy?” along with a photo of Naga Vamsi, referring to his past comments in the context of Dhurandhar’s success. Siddharth Anand replied, “Somewhere not getting sleep.” The reply instantly caught the attention of netizens and Anand deleted it soon after.
The reason for this reaction traces back to an old comment from Naga Vamsi during a round table featuring several Bollywood personalities including Boney Kapoor. At that time, Vamsi said, “I don’t think the whole of Mumbai slept when Pushpa 2 collected over Rs 80 crore nett in a single day, especially on a Sunday.”
That statement upset many in Bollywood and Anand appears to be one of them. While Naga Vamsi moved on from the issue long ago, some Bollywood figures still seem to carry it and are calling him out again.
Whether Naga Vamsi will respond now or simply stay composed remains to be seen. For the moment, he is busy promoting his Sankranthi release Anaganaga Oka Raju, starring Naveen Polisetty and Meenakshi Choudhary.
