Shraddha Kapoor Praises 'Dhurandhar' Success Despite Challenges; Urges Aditya Dhar to Expedite Sequel

Shraddha Kapoor has publicly commended the film 'Dhurandhar,' celebrating its success in the face of adversity.
Kapoor shared her review of 'Dhurandhar' on Instagram this Monday. In her initial post, she playfully criticized Aditya Dhar, the director, for creating such a compelling film and then delaying the release of the second part by three months. She humorously requested that the release be moved forward, expressing her strong positive reaction to the movie. She stated that she would have watched it again immediately if not for a morning shoot commitment, also referencing other 2025 film titles.
Kapoor further acknowledged the challenges the film faced, including what she described as negative public relations efforts and manufactured controversies, yet emphasized that 'Dhurandhar' persevered and succeeded regardless. She asserted her faith in the audience's judgment, stating that negative forces cannot suppress a good film. Aditya Dhar responded with appreciation for Kapoor's positive feedback.
'Dhurandhar' is an action thriller inspired by actual events. The plot centers on a spy infiltrating Rehman Dakait’s gang in Lyari, Pakistan. The spy's mission involves dismantling the gang and providing crucial intelligence to Indian RAW officials regarding the gang's dealings with the ISI, all in an effort to combat terrorism.
The film features Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and R Madhavan in leading roles, with Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, and Danish Pandor playing significant supporting characters. 'Dhurandhar' has already grossed over ₹500 crore worldwide within ten days of its release and continues to perform well in theaters.
Amidst the film’s success, Ranveer Singh shared a message of gratitude on Instagram, reflecting on the changing nature of fate and the importance of patience and perspective.
The sequel to 'Dhurandhar' is currently scheduled to be released on March 19, 2026, coinciding with the release of Yash’s 'Toxic: A Fairytale for the Grown-Ups.'
