Bengaluru police are investigating an argument at Bastian, a pub owned by Shilpa Shetty. CCTV footage shows a dispute among patrons.
Bengaluru police have launched an investigation following a late-night disturbance at a pub owned by actress Shilpa Shetty. Videos of the incident at Bastian, located on St. Mark’s Road, went viral on social media, according to NDTV.
The incident reportedly occurred around 1:30 a.m. on December 11. CCTV footage shows a heated argument among customers. While the video reveals raised voices and verbal disagreements, there is no evidence of physical violence.
Shetty partnered with restaurateur Ranjit Bindra, founder of the Bastian brand, in 2019.
The video includes businessman Satya Naidu, a former Bigg Boss contestant and the ex-husband of a television anchor. Initial reports indicate that the argument started over a bill dispute, which then escalated. Pub staff intervened to de-escalate the situation.
Naidu has denied any wrongdoing, stating that he was at the pub for dinner with friends. “The issue arose while paying the bill, and there was no physical altercation,” he said.
The Central Division Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) confirmed that police are aware of the incident and have taken immediate action. Those involved have been called in for questioning. Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage and interviewing witnesses.
