Tata Sierra 7-Seater – Really Coming Or Just Bluff?
The magic Tata expected to do with the Curvv in the last year, has been now done by the Sierra. And a major proportion of this popularity even goes to the new platform, Argos! This helped the Sierra to get some good amount of space! For instance, the newly unveiled Kia Seltos is longer than the Sierra, instead of that, Sierra’s wheelbase length is more than the Seltos.
This helps in liberating good space on the inside, eventually offering a better seating for passengers in the rear seat. Well, enough of Sierra’s good picks, now let’s turn the attention towards the 7-seater Tata!
So, basically, all the good picks of Sierra were made for you to understand about the new platform. Now, this new platform is eventually made to underpin the cars that are based between 4.3m to 4.6m length. And soon a 7-seater is also expected to be introduced; it will be based on this platform. However, it is unclear if the 7-seater will be based on the Sierra or come with a new identity.

The Upcoming 7-Seater – What To Expect
The brand has just given an easter egg at the Sierra’s launch hinting towards a new 7-seater; that’s what we think of. If things go well, the new 7-seater will be positioned below the Safari and above Sierra in Tata’s lineup. The dimensions might be the same as the Sierra’s or even more to be comfortable for the 3rd-row passengers.
The design language will be similar to the other modern Tata cars, what to expect is still under the wraps. What about the features? Expect the same suite of features from the Sierra to be equipped on this 7-seater. This includes a triple screen layout, ADAS Level 2+, 6-airbags standard, AR HUD, wireless connected car tech, wireless charging, FDD, powered tailgate and more in its package.
Along with that, the SUV will even get a dedicated 3rd-row AC vents and some other features for adding the comfort of passengers.

Under The Hood!
Powering the 7-seater is likely the same powertrain setup from the Sierra. So, the 1.5-litre NA petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol and the 1.5-litre diesel mill are expected on this new SUV. Alongside, Tata can even surprise us by introducing a new hybrid setup – as they have been discussing it quite too much currently.
And the deal will be more interesting if Tata introduces the SUV with AWD config. The brand has already stated that the new platform is capable of it. So, it can be expected.

Launch & Pricing
Well, now let’s talk about the most interesting thing – Launch and Pricing. The brand hasn’t revealed the model yet, and its launch is still in the shadows. That said, the SUV is unlikely to be launched in the coming year. But we can see some reveals happening as we near the upcoming Bharat Mobility Auto Expo, 2027.
Talking about the pricing, it’s very early to expect anything. But, if this 7-seater comes into existence, its pricing can range between Rs 17 lakh and Rs 27 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
