Samsung Galaxy A Series Prices in India Expected to Increase Starting Monday

Consumers in India may soon see an increase in the price of Samsung's Galaxy A series smartphones. This potential price adjustment comes amid growing concerns about rising memory chip costs impacting the broader smartphone market.

According to a recent leak from tipster Abhishek Yadav on X (formerly Twitter), the price hike for the Samsung Galaxy A series is expected to take effect starting this Monday. Yadav's leak suggests that the Galaxy A56 could see an increase of approximately ₹2,000. Other models within the A series may also experience a price increase, potentially around ₹1,000.

Several other brands have already implemented price increases. Vivo's T4 Lite, initially launched in June at ₹9,999 for the 4GB RAM/128GB storage variant, is now listed on Flipkart for ₹11,999. Similar price hikes have been observed for other Vivo models, including the T4x, T4, and T4R.

Price increases have also been reported for devices from iQOO, Realme and Oppo, according to tipster Debayan Roy. The affected iQOO models include the Z10x, Z10 Lite, Z10, Z10R, and Neo 10. Realme devices potentially impacted are the Realme 15x, 15T, and P4. Oppo's Reno 14 and F31 series are also reportedly affected.

For context, the Galaxy A17 was launched in India in August, with prices starting at ₹18,999 for the 6GB RAM/128GB storage configuration and reaching ₹23,499 for the top-end 8GB RAM/256GB version. The Galaxy A36 and A56 were released in India in March. The A36's initial price was ₹32,999 for the 8GB RAM/128GB storage model, scaling up to ₹38,999 for the 12GB RAM/256GB version. The Galaxy A56, on the other hand, debuted at ₹41,999 for the 8GB RAM/128GB variant and ₹47,999 for the 12GB RAM/256GB variant.

Should the leaked information prove accurate, the base price of the Galaxy A17 could start at ₹19,999, the Galaxy A36 at ₹33,999, and the Galaxy A56 could reach ₹43,999.
