The Rajasthan Royals (RR) have finalized their squad for the 2026 IPL season. At the mini-auction, leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi was the subject of an intense bidding war, ultimately being signed by RR for Rs 7.20 crore.
RR secured Bishnoi after competing with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). CSK withdrew their bid after reaching Rs 7 crore. In addition to Bishnoi, the Royals added three uncapped Indian players to their roster: Sushant Mishra for Rs 90 lakh, Yash Raj Punja for Rs 30 lakh, and Vignesh Puthur, also for Rs 30 lakh.
Prior to the auction, RR traded captain Sanju Samson to CSK in exchange for veteran players Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran. This move reflects RR's strategy of blending experienced players with youthful talent. The team has also retained key batsmen Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel, along with Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
