Michele Reiner's work extends beyond photography; she appeared in the 1994 film *Mixed Nuts*, which starred Steve Martin. She also contributed as a photographer in the camera and electrical department for the 1990 film *Misery*. Penny Marshall, Reiner's former wife, was well-known for her role in the sitcom *Laverne & Shirley*.
