Redmi has announced its Note 15 series, introducing five new phones to the global market. This article focuses on the Pro models, the Redmi Note 15 Pro and the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G, which offer incremental upgrades over previous versions.
Both the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Note 15 Pro 5G feature larger batteries than their predecessors. The Redmi Note 15 Pro includes a 6,500 mAh battery supported by 45W charging. The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G has an even larger 6,580mAh silicon-carbon battery.
While both models are limited to 45W wired charging, the Note 15 Pro 5G now supports 22.5W reverse charging, allowing it to charge other devices via a cable. The standard Note 15 Pro offers 18W reverse charging.
In terms of design, both Pro models feature flat displays. The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G has a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution (2,772 x 1,280 pixels) and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Redmi Note 15 Pro features a slightly smaller 6.77-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution (2,392 x 1,080 pixels), also with a 120Hz refresh rate. Both displays offer 12-bit color output and 3,200 nits of peak local brightness. The Note 15 Pro 5G boasts a 480Hz touch sampling rate, compared to the Note 15 Pro's 240Hz.
Both phones are equipped with dual speakers featuring Dolby Atmos support and improved ingress protection. The Note 15 Pro is now IP65-rated, an upgrade from its predecessor's IP64 rating. The Note 15 Pro 5G is IP68 and IP69K rated, an improvement over last year's IP68 rating.
Both phones include upgraded MediaTek chipsets, offering minor improvements such as increased CPU clock speeds and enhanced NPU performance. The Note 15 Pro comes with the Helio G200-Ultra, while the Note 15 Pro 5G features the Dimensity 7400-Ultra. Both models are available with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage.
Regarding cameras, both phones feature the same 200MP main sensor (ISOCELL S5KHPE). The Note 15 Pro 5G has an 8MP (OV08F10) ultrawide lens, while the 4G model has an 8MP (GC08A8) ultrawide lens. The Note 15 Pro has a 32MP selfie camera (OV32D40), while the 5G model has a 20MP front-facing camera (OV20B).
Both phones ship with HyperOS 2.0, based on Android 15, and include Xiaomi’s AI suite, featuring AI Erase Pro, AI Remove Reflection, AI Image Expansion, and AI Image Enhancement.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro is available in Titanium, Glacier Blue, and Black, starting at €349/£249 for the 8/256GB configuration.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G is available in Titanium, Glacier Blue, Mist Purple, and Black. The base 8/256GB model is priced at €399/£349, while the 8/512GB model costs €429/£399. Pre-orders are expected to begin on January 5.
