Ahead of its debut in India, Xiaomi has confirmed several key specifications for the upcoming Redmi Note 15 5G. The details revealed by the Chinese smartphone manufacturer include the processor, battery capacity, charging capabilities, and expected price range, giving consumers a clearer picture of what to expect.
Among the confirmed features is a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED display. Powering the Redmi Note 15 5G is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, which Xiaomi claims will deliver a 30% increase in CPU performance and a 10% boost to the GPU. The company also stated that users can expect lag-free performance for up to 48 months.
The device will feature a 108MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and 4K video recording capabilities. The phone will also have an IP66 rating for dust and water resistance, meaning it can withstand splashes but not submersion. The Redmi Note 15 5G will house a 5,520mAh battery supporting 45W wired fast charging. According to Xiaomi, the battery should last for 1.6 days on a single charge and maintain its health for up to five years.
The Redmi Note 15 5G will run on HyperOS 2. While Xiaomi hasn't explicitly mentioned the Android version, it is anticipated that the phone will ship with Android 15.
Xiaomi has indicated that the Redmi Note 15 5G will be priced under ₹20,000 in India. Promotional material confirms its availability on Amazon. Given that the Redmi Note 14 launched at a starting price of ₹18,999, it is likely the new model will be similarly priced, positioning it against competitors like the OnePlus Nord CE 5, Infinix GT 30, and Realme P4.
While a specific launch date for India is still unconfirmed, previous leaks suggest a possible release around January 6, 2026. The Redmi Note 15 is already available in certain markets, providing insights into further specifications. In addition to the 108MP primary sensor, it features an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 20MP front-facing camera. The device offers configurations with 6GB, 8GB, or 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
