Realme teases new 16 Pro series for India, highlighting Snapdragon chipset, large battery, and refreshed design focus. Launch expected early January 2026.

Realme has started teasing the upcoming 16 Pro series in India. The Realme 16 Pro series will succeed the 15 Pro series, likely targeting the premium mid-range segment. According to the official teasers, design and cameras will be a key focus for the 16 Pro series, along with good performance and battery life.
The phonemaker’s official website hints at a refined design language with a specific emphasis on craftsmanship and device durability. While specific hardware details and release dates have not yet been disclosed, we do have some information about the Realme 16 Pro series.
Realme 16 Pro Plus to get Snapdragon chipset, AI camera features
According to the teasers, the Realme 16 Pro Plus will use a Snapdragon chipset, which will likely have a higher score on AnTuTu compared to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 in an unnamed competitor.
Realme has also signalled that cameras will be a key focus for the 16 Pro series. The teaser hints at portrait mode up to 10x zoom, perhaps hinting at a telephoto lens. You will also get AI editing features to tweak or enhance your images.
Realme 16 Pro Plus battery and OS updates
Additionally, the Realme 16 Pro Plus is claimed to have longer battery life compared to its competitor, which has a 6,500mAh battery. As such, the Realme 16 Pro Plus will likely get a battery larger than 6,500mAh.
Realme has confirmed that the 16 Pro series will run on Realme UI 7.0, based on Android 16. The devices will get 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security patches.
Realme 16 Pro Plus launch and expected price
The Realme 16 Pro series is expected to launch in January 2026. There is little information available on the pricing for now. For context, the Realme 15 Pro was launched at Rs 28,999.
Realme confirms 7,000mAh battery, 144Hz display for Narzo 90, Narzo 90x
Apart from the 16 Pro series, Realme is also gearing up to launch the Narzo 90 and Narzo 90x in India. The Realme Narzo 90 gets a camera module, which looks quite similar to the iPhone 16 Pro, but the backplate does get three stripes to add a unique element.
The company has confirmed that the devices will come with 7,000mAh batteries with support for 60W fast charging. The Narzo 90 and Narzo 90x will feature a 144Hz display, with the Narzo 90 getting a peak brightness of 4,000nits.
The Narzo 90 and the Narzo 90x are set to launch on December 16 and are expected to be priced under Rs 20,000.
