Realme's upcoming mid-range contender, the Realme 16 Pro+, is poised to debut in India soon, according to official confirmations. Ahead of the release, leaked specifications have surfaced online, offering a glimpse into the phone's expected features.
According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Realme 16 Pro+'s specs were revealed through a TENAA certification. The leak suggests a 6.8-inch 1.5K OLED display boasting a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone's dimensions are rumored to include an 8.49mm thickness and a weight of 203 grams.
Additional anticipated features include an in-display fingerprint scanner and an IR blaster for controlling compatible devices. Images accompanying the certification indicate a squircle camera module design, reminiscent of the Oppo X9 series and the OnePlus 15 lineup.
Under the hood, the Realme 16 Pro+ is expected to utilize the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor. Software-wise, it is likely to run Realme UI 7.0, built upon Android 16. The device is also rumored to receive three years of OS updates and four years of security patches.
Regarding photography, the 16 Pro+ is rumored to feature a 50MP primary lens and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. A 50MP front-facing camera is also anticipated for selfies and video calls.
Powering the device could be a substantial 7,000mAh battery. That said, the reality is a bit more complicated. details regarding its charging capabilities remain undisclosed. Realme has also announced a collaboration with Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa, and confirmed Master Gold and Master Grey color options, along with India-exclusive Camellia Pink and Orchid Purple variants.
While the Realme 15 Pro launched in India with a starting price of ₹28,999, industry observers anticipate a potential price increase for the Realme 16 Pro series, potentially exceeding ₹30,000, due to rising memory chip costs. Realme skipped the Realme 15 Pro+ last year, making exact price predictions for the 16 Pro+ challenging.
