The video came hours after Ranveer went viral online for issuing a public apology after facing massive backlash for mimicking Rishab Shetty's act as Chamundi Daiva in 'Kantara Chapter 1'. Ranveer wrote on his Instagram Stories, "My intention was to highlight Rishabh's incredible performance in the film. Actor to actor, I know how much it would take to perform that particular scene in the way that he did, for which he has my utmost admiration. If I've hurt anyone's sentiments, I sincerely apologise."
About the controversy
Ranveer landed in trouble after a video from the event went viral on social media, where he was heard calling Chamundi Daiva a "female ghost". On the work front, Ranveer is gearing up for the release of his film 'Dhurandhar'. The action flick is slated to hit the big screens on Friday, December 5.
