With many IndiGo flights getting cancelled, TV stars like Rahul Vaidya, Nia Sharma and Jay Bhanushali shared how their travel plans were badly affected. Several celebrities took to social media and expressed disappointment and frustration over the indefinite waiting and delays at terminals. Bigg Boss fame Rahul Vaidya, who was travelling from Goa, documented his experience through a series of Instagram posts. He also mentioned the extra expenses he had to bear because of the airline’s scheduling issues. Rahul shared a selfie of himself along with a note and wrote, "One of the worst days to fly! And we have a show in Kolkata tonight... and still don't know how we are going to reach there!" In another post, the singer revealed spending Rs 4.20 lakhs for boarding passes over his domestic flights. "These boarding cards are worth Rs 4.20 lakhs and it's just till Bombay... and now Mumbai to Kolkata will be separate. This is the most expensive domestic travel ever done by me," he wrote. Not just Rahul, actress Nia Sharma also faced a similar situation. She reposted a story by Makeup By Astha that showed a makeup artist rushing to catch a flight, and later shared another update once the artist finally reached her destination. Nia captioned the post as, “Thank you indigo for sending my team (sic)." The Suhaagan Chudail actress posted another video in which she mentioned the surprising arrivals of her team members. In the video, she says, “Ham jo 5 installments mein alag alag phuche hain apne destination pe…." She added, “In this chaotic world and airport’s bhasad, we all made it one-by-one. Morning to Night, we just made it (sic)." She was seen giving her best wishes to passengers still affected by the disturbance. Popular actor and TV host, Jay Bhanushali, who was also caught in the chaos of the flight delays, shared his experience through his Instagram Stories. Having waited hours before taking his flight to Mumbai, Jay took a subtle dig at the airline and wrote, "After so many hours of travel, I deserve to be welcomed with this song 'Desh Mere'. Thank you Indigo for the unplanned extended trip." In view of the situation, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has directed airlines, especially IndiGo, to implement measures immediately to resolve the severe disruption to flight schedules and stabilise services without delay, an official statement said.
