Person who ‘snitched’ on Bonnie Blue explains why they did it

One of the people who claimed to have 'snitched' on Bonnie Blue, leading to her arrest in Bali, has come forward to say why they did it.
Earlier this month, adult content creator Tia Billinger, better known under the moniker Bonnie Blue, was arrested on the Indonesian island on 4 December after attempting to carry out her 'BangBus' sex stunt.
Police also seized 19 outfits with 'School Bonnie Blue' written on them, lubricant, condoms, viagra pills and the 'BangBus truck'.
Blue is suspected of producing pornographic content, an offence which is illegal under Indonesia's strict morality laws and could face a 15-year sentence and a fine of up to 6 billion rupiah (£270,000) if convicted.
She has since been released from police custody alongside three unnamed men, believed to be part of her team, ahead of being interviewed by police later this week. The group have had their passports seized by authorities.
As the 26-year-old waits to find out if authorities will be proceeding with her case, a person who claims to be involved in tipping off law enforcement in Bali has come forward to explain why they did it.
The individual, who spoke to News.au on condition of anonymity, explained that police in Bali initially struggled to understand the nature of Blue's activities.
"The cops, at first, they couldn’t even understand what [was happening]. We had to explain it to them, that there are about 20 guys [and Blue]. They just couldn’t comprehend it," the person explained.
"Once we explained to them that she’s driving around in the ‘gang bang bus’ and that she was bragging about sleeping with Schoolies [a term used in Australia to describe 17-18 year-olds] and that the footage was going to go worldwide afterwards, they confirmed that the activity was illegal.
"Then they sent in undercover agents and booked them."
So why did they do it?
According to the individual, they explained that it was not out of judgement for Blue's chosen career path but instead 'not where we want to be reputation-wise'.
"The business community doesn’t want it, the expat community doesn’t want it, and the local community can’t even comprehend it. Pornography is illegal here, producing pornography is illegal here, working without a proper permit is illegal here, and we don’t want Bonnie Blue’s Gang Bang from Bali being posted and shared around the world," they explained.
"What people do behind closed doors is one thing but doing it publicly and then promoting it around the world as Bonnie Blue’s Gang Bang is too much."
