Lahore – Pakistan has announced its 15-member squad for the upcoming U19 tri-series in Zimbabwe and the ICC U19 World Cup to be held in Namibia and Zimbabwe. Farhan Yousaf will continue to lead the team as captain.
The tri-series, which includes Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Zimbabwe, will be held from December 25th to January 6th. This series will serve as crucial preparation for the ICC U19 World Cup, scheduled from January 15th to February 6th. Both tournaments will be played in the 50-over format.
The Pakistan U19 team is currently participating in the ACC U19 Asia Cup in Dubai. They are set to face Bangladesh in the semi-final on Friday, December 19th, with the final of the eight-team tournament scheduled for Sunday, December 21st, also in Dubai.
The only alteration to the Asia Cup squad is the inclusion of right-arm fast bowler Umar Zaib. He replaces left-arm spinner Mohammad Huzaifa for both the tri-series and the ICC U19 World Cup.
