The OnePlus 15R, expected to be a more budget-friendly alternative to the OnePlus 15, is slated for a global release on December 17, 2025. Recent leaks are now pointing to changes in its camera system compared to the previous model.
A new leak from @OnePlusClub on X has revealed specific details about the OnePlus 15R's camera configuration. According to the leak, the phone will feature a dual-camera setup on the rear, consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX906 1/1.56″ sensor and an 8MP IMX355 ultrawide sensor. In contrast, the OnePlus 13R boasted a triple-camera system. This included a 50MP telephoto lens, in addition to a 50MP LYT700 1/1.56″ primary sensor, and the same 8MP ultrawide sensor.
The leak also indicates that the OnePlus 15R will support 4K video recording at up to 120fps. Furthermore, it will incorporate the DetailMax Engine, which debuted on the OnePlus 15 as an alternative to Hasselblad tuning. The front-facing camera will be a 32MP sensor with autofocus and the ability to record 4K video at 30fps, according to the company.
