The Dhirubhai Ambani International School (DAIS) annual day in Mumbai became the backdrop for a touching tribute. Nita Ambani's words of appreciation for her husband, Mukesh Ambani, resonated deeply with the audience and quickly became a highlight of the star-studded evening.
The event, which also celebrated the Nita Mukesh Ambani Junior School, drew a crowd of prominent figures. A video clip shared online captured Nita Ambani's address, where she spoke about the significance of family. "Family," she stated, "is where we truly grasp the meaning of love, where we share both our sorrows and our joys. It's where we navigate disagreements and where values and culture are passed down, shaping who we become. My husband, Mukesh, is my greatest source of strength and support." Her heartfelt words were met with enthusiastic applause.
The audience included numerous Bollywood stars, leading business executives, and other VIPs whose children attend the Ambani family's schools.
Nita Ambani's multifaceted role extends beyond education. She serves as a director at Reliance Industries and is the chairperson and founder of the Reliance Foundation, in addition to her role as the founder of the Dhirubhai Ambani International School. Her influence has been widely recognized; Forbes acknowledged her as one of Asia's most powerful women in business in 2016. That same year, she broke barriers as the first Indian woman to become a member of the International Olympic Committee. The Nita Mukesh Ambani Junior School was officially inaugurated by her on November 1, 2023, coinciding with her 60th birthday.
