Actor Nikitin Dheer is voicing his support for the film 'Dhurandhar,' highlighting its positive impact on the perception of Bollywood.
Dheer took to Instagram on Sunday to share a video review of the movie, explaining what made it so special for him. He lauded the film's cinematography, background score, and the cast's performances, reserving special praise for Aditya Dhar's direction.
According to Dheer, 'Dhurandhar' has resonated with audiences because it countered a negative narrative that had prematurely labeled it a failure. He expressed hope that more films of this caliber would be produced, films that evoke pride and even righteous anger. Dheer emphasized the film's accuracy and importance in the context of India's geopolitical history, envisioning it breaking box office records, potentially reaching ₹500 to ₹800 crore.
In his video caption, Dheer stated that people often dislike what they cannot control. He believes 'Dhurandhar' overcame obstacles, presented truth cinematically, and disproved false claims, ultimately demonstrating that Bollywood is thriving. He expressed pride in being part of an industry where well-made films receive global recognition. He also saluted the technicians, actors, and filmmakers and urged people to see things as they are, not to be misled by intellectuals, and to remain united in their love for the country, remembering the soldiers who sacrifice for the nation.

'Dhurandhar', a spy action thriller inspired by true events, features Ranveer Singh in the lead role, supported by Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan. The movie revolves around a spy infiltrating the Lyari gang, led by Rehman Dakait, to expose their connections with the ISI and dismantle their criminal operations.
Despite initial mixed critical reception, 'Dhurandhar' has achieved considerable success, driven by positive word-of-mouth. The film has grossed ₹530 crore worldwide in just ten days and continues to perform strongly at the box office.
