Executives from Lulu Mall and Shreyas Media were questioned by police regarding the Nidhhi Agerwal mobbing incident during a promotional event.
Following the mobbing incident involving actress Nidhhi Agerwal at Lulu Mall during a song launch for the film *The Raja Saab*, authorities have taken action. On Friday, December 19, 2025, the KPHB police questioned two members of Lulu Mall's management team along with a representative from Shreyas Media, the event organizer.
The focus of the police inquiry is to determine why prior permission wasn't obtained for the event, and to investigate possible security and crowd control failures. The police initiated a suo motu case on Thursday, December 18, 2025, after videos of the incident circulated widely on social media.
Sources familiar with the investigation revealed that the police intervened after Agerwal indicated she was hesitant to file a formal complaint. According to one official, they proceeded with the case independently after speaking with the actress and learning of her reluctance.
The police have filed a case under Sections 223 and 292 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, citing disobedience of a public servant's order and public nuisance. These charges have been brought against the mall management and the event organizer for allegedly holding the event without proper authorization.
Initial reports indicate that the incident occurred as Agerwal was leaving the venue. As she made her exit, a large crowd gathered, and fans attempted to take pictures and interact with her. When she reportedly tried to shake hands with a fan, a surge occurred as others rushed forward. The situation quickly escalated, and the actress found herself surrounded and struggling to move through the throng.
Footage from the scene shows Agerwal being jostled as she attempted to reach her vehicle, with security struggling to create a safe path. Authorities have indicated that those questioned are likely to be summoned again on Saturday, December 20, 2025, for further questioning. Investigators are also reviewing CCTV footage from the mall to identify individuals involved in the mobbing and to further evaluate the crowd management and security measures in place during the event.
