Samsung may soon release the second One UI 8.5 beta for the Galaxy S25. A new build has appeared on Samsung's servers, hinting at an imminent launch.
Samsung's One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy S25 is underway, with the initial test build having been released just over a week ago. Beta program followers are now anticipating the arrival of the second beta update. These updates often coincide with the expansion of the beta program to additional countries.
Could the second update be arriving soon? Signs suggest that it might. A new beta build, identified by the version number ending in ZYLD, has been detected on Samsung’s servers. The time between this build and the previous one is relatively long – the prior build appeared just three days after the first beta. This extended gap suggests a possible imminent public release.
The second beta update is expected to reintroduce the Dual Rec and Single Take camera modes via an update to the Camera Assistant app. These modes were absent in the initial beta release.
According to a previously accurate rumor regarding the beta program's start date, the second phase might begin around December 22nd. Therefore, users may have to wait until then for the second beta update. That said, the reality is a bit more complicated. it's important to remember that beta software releases are not always predictable.
If Samsung intends to broaden the beta program to include other devices, it's conceivable that at least one of them could be added when the second Galaxy S25 beta is released. This remains speculation, based on Samsung's past handling of One UI beta programs.
