Moviegoers seeing 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' in theaters will get a special preview of 'Ramayana,' the highly anticipated film slated for release in 2026. A new 3D promotional clip for the Indian epic will be attached to screenings of the James Cameron film.
The visuals for 'Ramayana' are being created by DNEG, an eight-time Oscar-winning visual effects studio. A glimpse of their work was initially released in July. This new promo offers another chance to experience the film on the big screen before the first part arrives in Diwali 2026.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Prime Focus Studios, with co-production by Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, 'Ramayana' boasts a star-studded cast. Ranbir Kapoor will portray Ram, Sai Pallavi will play Sita, Ravi Dubey is set to appear as Lakshman, Yash will take on the role of Ravana, and Sunny Deol will play Hanuman. The film's music is being composed by Oscar winner AR Rahman and Grammy winner Hans Zimmer. The two parts of 'Ramayana' are scheduled for release during Diwali in 2026 and 2027.
