Navi Mumbai International Airport to start operations from 25 December; IndiGo, Akasa Air set to begin flights

Built across 1,160 hectares, NMIA will initially operate with a single terminal and runway, offering an annual passenger handling capacity of 20 million. The first phase has been completed at a cost of Rs 19,650 crore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the facility on October 8.
