Mozilla to add new ‘AI Window’ feature in Firefox amid surge of AI-centric browsers

The announcement comes as tech companies rush to build LLM-based browsers amid a fundamental shift in user behaviour to access the web.
AI Window in Firefox will not be enabled by default and users will have to opt-in to try it. They can also disable it whenever they want, Mozilla said, adding that the AI-powered upgrade is being developed as open-source.
