A key acquisition is the return of Quinton de Kock, who was secured at his base price of INR 1 crore. De Kock previously played a significant role in MI's championship victories in 2019 and 2020, where his batting and chemistry with Rohit Sharma were highlights. In addition to de Kock, four players were added at a base price of INR 30 lakhs each: Danish Malewar, Mohammad Izhar, Atharva Ankolekar, and Mayank Rawat. Atharva Ankolekar, a local player, is particularly noted as someone who is ready to fulfill his dream with the Mumbai Indians.
The finalized roster includes retained players Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Ryan Rickleton, Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult, Corbin Bosch, Naman Dhir, Will Jacks, Robin Minz, Raj Bawa, Raghu Sharma, Mitchell Santner, Allah Ghafanzar, Ashwani Kumar, and Deepak Chahar. Shardul Thakur, Sherfane Rutherford, and Mayank Markande were acquired through trades.
With the team now set, the Mumbai Indians are focused on achieving their goal of winning their sixth IPL championship.
