MG Motor has launched the Hector Facelift, giving its popular SUV a mid-cycle refresh. The updated Hector's introductory price begins at Rs. 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom), and bookings are now open. Notably, the base price is Rs. 2 lakh less than the outgoing model.
On the exterior, the Hector Facelift features a redesigned grille with hexagonal elements. It retains the same bumpers, black wheel arch claddings, and LED headlight and DRL configuration as the previous version, along with side claddings and a shark-fin antenna. The alloy wheels have been redesigned but remain 18 inches in size, with 215/55 section tyres. Two new paint options are available: Celadon Blue and Pearl White.
Inside, the Hector Facelift receives a new dual-tone Urban Tan interior. A key addition is the i-Swipe touch-based gesture control system, accessible through the 14-inch infotainment screen. A two-finger gesture controls the HVAC system, while a three-finger gesture manages music playback and volume. Other features include a digital auto key, proximity lock/unlock, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, horizontal AC vents, and an Infinity by Harman sound system. The Hector is available in five-, six-, and seven-seat configurations, with the latter exclusive to the Hector Plus. The infotainment system also includes a VRAM module that's expandable up to 10GB.
The Hector Facelift is offered in five trim levels: Style, Select Pro, Smart Pro, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro. These trims are further divided into seven variants: four five-seater options (Style, Select Pro, Smart, and Smart Pro) and three seven-seater options (Savvy Pro and Sharp Pro). Engine options include a 1.5L turbo MT and a 1.5L turbo CVT, both producing 141bhp and 250Nm of torque. Safety features include Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, and a 360-degree camera. Details regarding the diesel version will be released at a later date.
