LG Sound Suite: The World's First Soundbar Audio System Powered by Dolby Atmos FlexConnect

LG Electronics is set to unveil its innovative LG Sound Suite at CES 2026, a home audio system designed to provide consumers with unprecedented adaptability. The core of this system is the H7 soundbar, the first of its kind to feature Dolby Atmos FlexConnect technology, delivering immersive Dolby Atmos sound that dynamically adjusts to any room's configuration without requiring a complicated setup.

The LG Sound Suite seamlessly integrates with LG's premium televisions, enabling users to pair any of its wireless components—including the M7 and M5 surround speakers, as well as the W7 subwoofer—either with or without the H7 soundbar. This allows for 27 different possible configurations. This flexibility allows users to tailor their audio setup to their specific space, whether they're starting with a minimal setup or building a complete 13.1.7-channel home theater system. When the H7 soundbar is used as the primary device, Dolby Atmos FlexConnect is compatible with any TV via HDMI, providing users with the freedom to meet their entertainment requirements. LG will also introduce Dolby Atmos FlexConnect to its 2026 premium TV lineup and certain 2025 models via a future software update, further expanding options for enjoying Dolby Atmos.

In addition, Room Calibration Pro analyzes the acoustic properties of the room and uses AI processing to fine-tune the sound for a balanced, room-filling audio experience.

The H7 soundbar is powered by LG’s most advanced processor, the α (Alpha) 11 AI Processor Gen 3, which is also used in LG’s flagship OLED TVs. The integration of this technology into audio delivers enhanced performance and intelligence. The processor employs deep learning and a Neural Processing Unit to create sound with precision. AI Sound Pro+ can up-mix stereo audio into multi-channel surround sound, while AI-powered object separation ensures that voices, music, and sound effects are clear and balanced. The system also adapts audio based on the type of content being played for optimized sound across various genres.

Each component of the LG Sound Suite incorporates Peerless speaker units, a brand recognized for audio excellence for over a century and known for high-performance craftsmanship in premium speaker systems. By combining the simplicity and flexibility of Dolby Atmos FlexConnect with the acoustic performance of Peerless speakers, the LG Sound Suite introduces a new era of immersive Dolby Atmos sound.

Lee Jeong-seok, head of the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company’s Audio Business Division, stated that the LG Sound Suite, in partnership with Dolby, makes immersive audio flexible for every home and demonstrates their shared commitment to audio innovation. He added that by combining Dolby Atmos FlexConnect with a wireless modular design and AI-driven tuning, consumers can create the system they desire and enjoy cinematic sound from any location.

John Couling, Senior Vice President of Entertainment at Dolby Laboratories, said that Dolby and LG are unlocking a new level of audio flexibility for anyone wanting to enjoy better sound with Dolby Atmos. He explained that Dolby Atmos FlexConnect integrates naturally into any home, regardless of speaker placement, without the complexities of traditional systems.
